My dear  Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

I am writing to appeal in behalf of my family and fellowmen. Our nation has been badly hit by 2 super typhoons named Ondoy and Pepeng. The last one submerged different cities in water that damaged houses, livelihood and taken a lot of lives. We were fortunate that time that our house was just almost knee deep in water. But this one that hit us now and is still in the country has submerged the entire Luzon island (comprises several provinces, towns and cities) in water where more homes, livelihood and lives were washed away. This typhoon named Pepeng is the first typhoon that ever hit our country that left, came back and lingered for some more days with more stronger rains and powerful winds.

In my area, 100 people were buried alive from the landslides. My parent's house, where my son and I were seeking shelter had a landslide also and fortunately, we are all alive. My brother's house was submerged in 10 feet deep water. It is still raining here and evacuation centers are jampacked.

I am writing to appeal for any help you can extend all of us here not only for my family but for my fellowmen. Our hospitals are full of victims needing medicines, food, etc. Some cities receive 30 mins - 3 hours of electricity per day while others, none at all due to the vast damage it did.

As of the moment, every city and province here in Northern Luzon and Central Luzon has been declared unpassable due to the flooding and eroded roads. That makes each city isolated. So relief is not able to come immediately. Some people are not even able to bury  their  dead loved ones because they do not have money to buy a coffin. The usual relief that comes to victims is a bag that has 1 kilo of rice, 1 liter bottled water, 3 cans of sardines and 3 packs of instant noodles. sometimes it varies but basically each is given a bag a day.

I know that every one of us is going through global crisis but any help you can extend our countrymen is deeply appreciated. Please know that we will never be able to repay each and everyone of you but we know God will.

It is not about yoga!  It is about bringing who you are - broken, fragmented and wounded before God in such a way of surrendering ALL, in body/mind/spirit, so the Holy Spirit can reveal his purpose for your life.

How do I POSE before God as I am - imperfect, a sinner with my palms open??? 

The Divine created a stillness in me to discern what is the World's noise and what is the TONES of God (Awake my Song) that calm and sooth my soul (Awake my Soul).  I needed to be empthy of noise - all the misconceptions, disappointments, false pleasures and come truly, truly humble before my Creator (Awake my Strenght).

How much do you love me Jesus asked...more than Yoga?

This Retreat showed me it was not about the yoga as God took me out of the poses due to an injury that was Divinely timed!  I just sat and loved on God and he loved me back so much more than I ever imagined.  In my weakness His Power was manifested.  I had been placed in a humble spiritual pose for a purpose that surpassed my own conceptual thoughts. 

He showed me that goodness and mercy follewed me all the days of my life and that I was dwelling in His Home (the house of the Lord)...in that spacial moment of no movement, just breathing Him into my cells and inhaling His Divine Love...exhaling years of fears so that fearless faith manifested. 

Then Jesus took my hand and walked me down the mountain and placed me back into the world (you are in the world, but not of the world) and my Holy Yoga  vibrated into the yoga sudio with the Holy Spirit guiding my purpose driven life, and I exhaled... cause it was never about the yoga!

When people say that an experience can change you for a lifetime, they are right.  Did I know that would be how I would feel by the end of retreat?  NOPE!  Halfway through I was still wondering what I was doing there.  The people were awesome, the food great, the rest absolutely needed.  Something changed.  Today back home, plunged into the reality of life, God has whispered to me that the change was subtle but profound.  A micro movement, a re-alignment.  Oh my God!  I say that with  utmost respect and love, for the future laid out before me.  My intention "Let Go and Let God"  has truely come to be, and I move forward with awareness and peace knowing that the timing is God's.   

Holy Yoga Family,

I want to share with you some truth about God's dream for you and us. At my church  we are learning how to trust God and others with who we really are, which is scary and not easy! I'm barely tasting some of the freedom that it leads to and blessed beyond measure to be protected and surrounded around people that are willing to be REAL, flaws and all. In the book "True Faced" written by my pastor and 2 other Godly men and leaders of our church there is a passage that highlights God's dream for each one of us.   I have been wrestling with God about a lot of stuff, especially my Holy Yoga walk. I read the passage below the other night and felt God reassuring me that He is not threw with me yet and that my dreams do matter to Him, He put them in me, all the desires, He created me, so He knows what we desire and dream for! So here it is for you to read. May it encourage you and give you hope! 

"So, here's the not-so-small print that maybe you never read at the start of your journey: God's dreams for you are ultimately not really about you. Oh, don't misunderstand. They'll bring you some of the best days of your life;you will be fulfilled beyond any imaginable expectations. But God's dreams take form only when they are about others, for the benefit of others. Loving them. Guiding them. Serving them. Influencing them. Filling their heads with dreams and hope. There are no other types of God dreams. Nothing less or else will compel,attract, or seem worthy of this God heart within you.God's destiny for you will never be so trivial as building a kingdom for you to enhance your acclaim. The dream he has prepared custom for you is explosively beautiful and alive. It's about his glorious kingdom- a plan involving you from before there was time! This stunning dream always involves others. Others being freed, healed, convinced of who they really are, convinced that they can fly, convinced his dreams in them can come true. Think about it- God's dreams for us reflect his heart. If we are not maturing in sync with his heart, how would we distinguish others-centered dreams from self-centered dreams? Many of us remain so wounded and preoccupied with our own stuff that we concoct our own tepid, cheap dreams and call them God's. After a while we wouldn't recognize God's dream for us if it came up and shouted "Howdy, I'm your dream!".      

God wants to reveal himself to us in authenticity.Because one of God's dreams is that we would influence others far more out of who we are than out of what we do. So, above all else, your destiny requires that you be a maturing person. The Father wants us to mature into the "likeness of his Son", because he can't release us into his dreams for us unless we are maturing. " (True Faced 2004)
