Holy Yogalates's purpose is to combine yoga poses and Pilates movements for an amazing core strengthening experience. Studying the practice founded by Jospeh Pilates, we look at how to incorporate these movements and exercises into a yoga/Pilates fusion class that will strengthen the body’s core even as we direct our hearts toward worship of our Lord. Holy Yogalates is a 15-hour continuing education training designed for existing yoga instructors to expand their expertise and offerings by learning the components of mat Pilates. It is also perfect for those who desire to expand their knowledge of Holy Yoga and Pilates. In addition, this class will examine common core injuries such as diastis recti and pelvic floor disorders, as well as adaptive ways to help students heal from these conditions. The class meets for three two-hour webinar sessions and includes additional home study, reading assignments, at-home video instruction, and a teaching practicum. The next trainining will take place in the fall of 2017.
