Chair/Senior Holy Yoga Instructor Training

Chair/Senior Holy Yoga takes the great joy of Christ to all people. (Luke 2:10 NLT). Chair/Senior Holy Yoga provides an opportunity for people 55 years and older or people who are not able to participate in a typical Holy Yoga class due to injury or illness to experience the incredible benefits of Holy Yoga through physical worship, breath and meditation especially adapted for their particular needs.

This class is SO well-organized. Christina is an excellent instructor, very clear in her delivery, and one of the most approachable teachers I've ever worked with. The class materials will be an invaluable resource for the future. -Tracy

In this 20-hour training, you will learn about some of the physical conditions that affect many older adults including foot health, pelvic floor and bladder issues, and bone health/falling concerns. You will also learn to adapt many common yoga postures in order to provide a beautiful yoga experience for your students as they experience the love of God. The class meets for four two-hour webinar sessions and includes additional home study, reading assignments, at-home video instruction, and a teaching practicum.

I really appreciate the concept of Chair Holy Yoga. Health and joy are for all of God's children. The Word is for everyone. Modifications, creativity, and the Holy Spirit allow people of all abilities to participate. End of life Holy Yoga is especially interesting to me. We all have organic energy to work with, in whatever capacity. How profound to offer something so validating to people at that point of their journey. - Dana

This training is open to any adult interested in teaching Chair Yoga in a Jesus-centered manner. You do not need prior yoga training to participate.
