What airport do I fly into?

The coastal community of Pacifico is centrally located a mere 20 minutes from Liberia International Airport (LIB) offering direct flights from most North American and European Cities.  Once you arrive, you can arrange your own transfer to your Airbnb. We’ve compiled a list of trusted transport options in the Transportation Information tab to make your travel as smooth as possible.

Where do I stay?

For your stay, we have a list of Airbnbs within the beautiful Pacifico area. You’ll be responsible for booking your own accommodation, and we recommend sharing with fellow retreat participants to keep costs affordable. To help you find the perfect spot, we’ll provide links to some of our favorite Airbnb options on our resource page. We are only providing neighborhood listings and it is the responsibility of the renter to verify their accommodations.

Example listing: $189 per night for a home that sleeps 6 comfortably.

To help you connect with others, feel free to add yourself to our Find an Accommodation Buddy sheet found in the retreat portal once you sign up. It’s a great way to find potential housemates, carpool partners, and coordinate plans!

What are Costa Rica’s travel requirements?

Please do due diligence when traveling abroad. We are providing Costa Rica and the United States travel sites.

What currency will I need in Costa Rica?

The official currency of Costa Rica is the Costa Rican Colón (CRC), but U.S. dollars are widely accepted in most places, especially in tourist areas. Credit cards are taken everywhere for connivence. We recommend having some local currency for smaller purchases or in more remote areas. ATMs are available at the airport and in towns around the retreat location for easy access to cash.

What happens if my flights are delayed or I am going to arrive late due to unforeseen circumstances?

No need to stress. Just get there when you can. Text 979-255-1165 to keep us up to date on your eta.

Can I invite people who are not Holy Yoga instructors to the Holy Yoga Retreat?

Yes! The Holy Yoga Retreat is open to anyone over the age of 16.

How many Continuing education hours will be available at retreat?

Will food be provided during the retreat?

While breakfast and lunch is provided. Note, we will have a later breakfast (10 am). For dinner there is a variety of local restaurants in the area, and many of our Airbnb accommodations include kitchens so you can prepare your meals. Additionally, you’ll have the opportunity to connect with fellow retreat participants to share meals and explore local cuisine!

What is the food like in the area?

Coco Beach has a very cosmopolitan ex-pat community and this is reflected in area restaurants. Have fun and be adventurous!

Will I have any free time while at Retreat?

Yes, there is some free time during Retreat.

Can I work while at Retreat?

No, you will not have time to work while at Retreat. Please leave computers and other work-related items at home.

What does the weather look like in Costa Rica in September?

eptember is part of the rainy season in Costa Rica, but don’t let that deter you! The weather is typically warm and tropical with afternoon showers. The Beach House is in a cay, which doesn’t get as much rain. It’s also lush and green, making it a beautiful time to visit.

Expect:

The rainy season brings lush, vibrant landscapes, and the afternoon rain usually doesn’t last long—often clearing up in time for sunset or evening activities. Plus, the rain provides a refreshing break from the heat!

What should I bring to the retreat?

You’ll want to pack comfortable yoga clothing, beachwear, sunscreen, and a journal. We also recommend bringing your Bible and any items that help you feel spiritually grounded, such as devotional books or prayer beads. You can also bring casual clothes for exploring Costa Rica on our adventure day.
