The National Institutes of Health describes yoga therapeutics as the specific, personalized application of yoga techniques— such as movement, breathwork, meditation, and relaxation practices—to help prevent, alleviate, or manage health conditions. Unlike general yoga classes designed for broad audiences, yoga therapeutics emphasizes adapting practices to meet an individual’s unique physical, mental, and emotional needs.
In this training, participants will learn to intentionally and skillfully adapt the full spectrum of yogic modalities to support health, well-being, restoration, and resilience within the scope of yoga teaching. Together, we will explore how these practices can be personalized to enhance quality of life and support individuals living with chronic conditions. This program is not a clinical certification; rather, it equips yoga teachers to confidently individualize and modify practices within their professional scope of practice.
The program includes 32 live sessions divided into three progressive modules, meeting weekly for 2-hour classes. Training includes readings, assignments, practicum experiences, and client case studies designed to build confidence in private instruction.
