Our Touch training program focuses on the art of spirit-led touch and assists in yoga practice. Through this program, you will learn how to use touch as a powerful tool to guide and support your students in their practice.

Whether it’s providing gentle assists to help them find proper alignment or offering supportive assistance to deepen their poses, our training will equip you with the skills and confidence to not only enhance your students’ yoga experience but, more importantly, to be the hands and feet of Jesus to your students.

Touch applies most to poses which are Yin or restorative in nature. In the Holy Yoga Touch Training, we look at the implications of our own experience with touch and what God designed it to be. Participants will practice massage techniques, growing in awareness of the needs of their students. However this class is not just about assisting in your classes or massaging your students, it also addresses the psychology of touch and how it can be applied mindfully and with grace.

5. If you are a yoga instructor, Holy Yoga Touch can count toward your continuing education credits. Your credits can be completed for Yoga Alliance, American Council on Exercise, and of course, Holy Yoga.

What is Yoga Teacher Training Like?

The Touch Training includes 7 hours of at-home videos and an 8-hour hands-on and in-person workshop that focuses on:

•The art of spirit-led touch and assists in yoga practice to guide your students

•The psychology of touch

•The affect of trauma and abuse on the human body

•Energy, intention, and the healing power of safe touch as prompted by the Holy Spirit

Holy Yoga Touch training teaches participants to safely and professionally incorporate healing touch/ massage techniques in their yoga classes. Physical touch can be an important and essential element of a yoga class when done properly. This course empowers you to safely touch students during class with purpose and confidence.

You will learn elements of safe touch, the anatomy of touch, pose-specific acu-points, and emotional release facilitation. By the end of this course you will have the knowledge and experience to use massage in yoga classes to enhance and deepen the class experience.

Through this training, participants often begin to discover and address their own personal experiences and feelings related to touch. This can be a revealing and healing process that helps us become better teachers and facilitators; allow us to physically be the hands and feet of God reaching out to touch someone else.
