Gabrielle Plaep
Gabrielle grew up dancing at a Christian dance studio and fell in love with how movement could be a form of prayer, worship, and evangelism. She originally planned to study dance, exercise science, and youth ministry in college, but a hip injury requiring surgery removed dance from the equation halfway through. Still, she knew God had called her to use movement in ministry. After a long break from dancing and an end to a role in ministry that left her heartbroken, Gabrielle discovered Holy Yoga. She had experienced a yoga class with a Christian focus in high school, but had always felt she did not have a “yoga voice.” Feeling a nudge from the Holy Spirit, she decided to register for the 200 hour training at the end of 2020. Immediately, she knew why God had led her here. Using movement to pray, meditate, worship, and listen was like coming home.
Gabrielle began teaching classes to give back to her community, and then, in 2023, found herself being called into the LIT program. She loves being able to come alongside people and encourage them as they lean into the gifts God has given them. Minneapolis has captured her heart and she is excited to see how God uses Holy Yoga to bless the city.Gabrielle grew up dancing at a Christian dance studio and fell in love with how movement could be a form of prayer, worship, and evangelism.
