Looking at a typical yoga magazine, you might think that yoga is only for people with a certain shape and frame. At Holy Yoga, we believe that every body is welcome in God’s kingdom and on the yoga mat.
Holy Yoga Plus was created to hold a comfortable and unrestricted place for the plus-size person to experience yoga. Our purpose is to make a yoga practice an option for people who never thought it could be. It is our hope that Holy Yoga Plus will create a positive atmosphere for people of all shapes and sizes to practice yoga.
This training occurs as a 4-week home study program, which includes weekly webinar meetings, instructional videos, individual journaling, practice with the material presented, required reading, community participation and a student teaching practicum.
Learning how to teach Holy Yoga to plus-sized students has opened my eyes to the unique needs of these students, but it has also taught me to use a more sensitive approach with all my students. This training will bless you.
