Training Description

Open to existing instructors; Holy Yoga is a Christ-centered, highly regarded international yoga instructor training program that has been providing world-class yoga training since 2006. The 100 hour training invites existing yoga instructors into a unique training experience steeped in Bible study, yoga, and community. For a Christ-follower, incorporating yoga concepts (such as the limbs and chakras) with your faith can be a challenging component of traditional instructor training – but with Holy Yoga, you gain the benefit of working out your faith in community with others on the same journey. Created with flexibility and convenience in mind, you can immerse yourself in 6 sessions and two check-ins with our program manager and more all from the comfort of home.

The 100-hour On-Demand Training allows you to learn at your own pace. Just keep in mind that the course must be completed within 3 months of purchase.

This training qualifies for 100 continuing education hours for Holy Yoga and Yoga Alliance non contact.

Each session will consist of a recorded lectures and Bible studies, additional home study, reading assignments, and at-home video instruction.

Required Reading:

Four books are required for your training, and they are to be purchased separately:

  1. Holy Yoga: Exercise for the Christian Body and Soul by Brooke Boon. This will
    serve as your manual in addition to Hatha Yoga Illustrated.
  2. Hatha Yoga Illustrated by Brooke Boon and Martin Kirk will serve as your instructional
    and photographic manual.
  3. Eat This Book by Eugene Peterson. This nine-chapter book outlines the importance of
    the Word and meditation. It will accompany our training week-by-week and teach you
    how to immerse yourself in the discipline of biblical meditation.
  4. Experiential Worship: Encountering God with Heart, Soul, Mind, and Strength by
    Bob Rognlien
    needs to be read during the course, but there is no suggested timeline.
