What Makes Holy Yoga Different?

What Makes

Holy Yoga Different?

Holy Yoga Global® offers over 15 different trainings, and an experience like no other! But we aren’t the star of the show here – our instructors are!

No matter where you are in your journey, you are welcome here.

Why are we here?

Holy Yoga® Global provides world-class training where wellness practitioners are intersected by the living God and resourced to take the gospel to the ends of the earth. Holy Yoga is experiential worship created to deepen people’s connection to Christ. Our sole purpose is to facilitate a Christ-honoring experience that offers an opportunity for believers and non-believers alike to authentically connect to God through His Word, worship and wellness.

“What is the difference between what Holy Yoga offers and other yoga training schools?”

This question can be answered in many different ways depending on the other training school you may be comparing us with, but the main answers are still the same. We could go on and on about the things we do that many of our competitors may not when it comes to yoga training, support, and community – so we thought we’d let some of our students help answer this question!

I finished a local Yoga Teacher Training in October 2019. While I do believe it was the right program for me at the time, I can now say I have learned more in 4 weeks of Holy Yoga training than I did in that 200-hour training. I’ve enjoyed the HY work so much, I’ve considered asking if I can continue with the 200-hour class because I’m not ready for my 100-hour course to end!

What sets Holy Yoga apart on an intellectual level, is the circling and layering of information. The information is presented through readings, video teachings, meditations, and our life group chat group. A topic is absorbed from different angles and truly integrates our body, mind, and soul through the teachings throughout the week. From a planning perspective, I appreciate that all the material and assignments are provided upfront so I can read ahead if I know a busy couple of days are coming. The reading lists and weekly checklists ease my anxiety about not being on track. And I haven’t even mentioned the soul work, which far superior to any program or bible study I have ever been a part of. Is it overwhelming? Sure. But it’s overflowing my cup.

All in all, I love Holy Yoga and want more of it! Thank you for all you do to bring people like me closer to God.

I took my 200-hour training from Yoga Faith in the fall of 2018. To continue my education, further my learnings I signed up for Holy Yoga’s 100-hour program. The major difference I have noticed include:

  • Life groups led by a Holy Yoga facilitator not just a group of new students floundering amongst themselves weekly.
  • 2 hr. weekly webinars led by the trainer with the participation of students not strictly a self-paced individual student program with videos.
  • Holy Yoga has a bible study taught by the founder in tandem with the course.
  • Course emphasis and requirements are based on God revealing to us and transforming us by spending time in Bible study, prayer time, journaling, meditation, various spiritual disciplines and required videos, books and yoga practices.
  • Holy Yoga is a community encouraging one another to seek God and let HIM transform us.
  • In the other program felt I was on my own island with other new students- until immersion where I had to figure out how to sign up for immersion, get my own housing, my own transportation, etc.

So far the immersion details with Holy Yoga are taken care of and clearly laid out. I feel I am getting to know Holy Yoga staff and fellow students on a deep level already, which I didn’t experience in the other program until immersion. This community is allowing me to grow deeper on a personal level and in a community with others.

What is different about Holy Yoga training?

Next Level Support During Training and Beyond

I used to do yoga years ago and enjoyed it very much but one of the physical things that was missing was proper positioning. I’m much more comfortable knowing that as I’m getting older and doing yoga once again, that there has been a tremendous amount of consideration that’s gone into this program. I’m expecting the spiritual and physical benefits of this program to pay throughout the remainder of my life. I’ve been in awe from the spiritual side of the course many times already and I’m only halfway through it.

Thank you, Jesus and Holy Yoga for making me feel that this was made just for me.

What makes Holy Yoga different than other trainings I have been through is the deeper spiritual connection. Actually using yoga asana as worship and to connect with your higher power. I’m not surprised by any of the training, just how much I am learning and building such a deep connection to God in this process and my family relationships are healing as well. It’s amazing!
