300 HOUR BLOG SERIES PART 4: History of Yoga & Teaching Methodology

Divine Transformation

Welcome! Thank you so much for joining us, if you haven’t already done so, make sure to go back and read Part 1, Part 2 , and Part 3 of our 5 part – 300 Hour Master’s Program series!

Being able to teach yoga in various ways makes for an excellent yoga instructor. This skill includes the ability to teach to a distinct population while welcoming a new person to the class at the same time. Throughout these nine weeks, we will look at the teaching methodology of Yin Yoga, how to teach with trauma sensitivity, anxiety issues, weight loss, contemplative disciplines, depression, and how to challenge the advanced practitioner to grow their practice.

In addition, we will be looking at the different yoga styles to understand why over 20 million Americans alone practice this wellness modality.

Our final weeks of this session will be based on the book Boundless: What Global Expressions of Faith Teach Us About Following Jesus by Bryan Bishop. This book will build upon our discussion of teaching methodology as it relates to faith.
